Breeder Education Program
Unlike many other professions, there is no formal education for breeders. There are no colleges, no structured training programs, and no unified standard of knowledge.
Most people enter breeding because they love animals. But love for animals is not a profession.
As a result, many breeders rely on conflicting advice from veterinarians, social media, websites, and other breeders, often changing approaches without understanding the reasons behind them.
A breeder needs more than information. A breeder needs a system.
That is why I created the Joie De Vivre School of Felinology—not as an academic institution, but as a practical educational system that provides structure, clarity, and a solid foundation for building a healthy, successful cattery.
In my school, you will learn:
• how to build and manage a healthy cattery;
• how to raise healthy kittens;
• how to solve common breeding challenges;
• how to protect yourself through proper contracts and buyer education;
• how to successfully market and sell your kittens.

The next step in our system is owner education.
A kitten is not a product—it is a living animal whose long-term health depends largely on the care it receives in its new home.
That is why we educate not only breeders, but owners as well.
An educated owner is the best way to protect a kitten's health and prevent unnecessary problems and misunderstandings.
Breeders who complete the Protecting Breeders program are invited to apply for membership in the Healthy Cattery Alliance.
This is a system where:
– trained breeders operate
– unified breeding principles are followed
– clients receive a clear and transparent system
This creates a closed, sustainable system:
the breeder is trained → the kitten is raised correctly → the owner is educated → health is maintained → the cattery’s reputation grows
This is a structured system where every stage matters.
