Why I Don't Offer In-Person Visits — and What I Offer Instead

Many clients ask me if they can visit the kittens in person before placing a deposit.
I understand where this question comes from — people want to feel safe, especially with so many scams out there.
But I also want to be completely transparent about why I don’t invite people into my home:
1️⃣ Health and Safety
My cattery is in my home, where kittens live freely. Having strangers walk in — especially during the early weeks — poses a risk to their developing immune systems. Nursing moms get stressed, and stress compromises milk quality and kitten well-being.
2️⃣ Security
Letting unknown people into my private home with valuable, purebred kittens creates real safety concerns. I have to protect not only my cats — but also myself and my family.
3️⃣ Disruption to Routines
My kittens are on carefully managed feeding, sleeping, and bonding routines. Visitors, no matter how well-meaning, disrupt the natural rhythm, which can affect their behavior and development.
💡 Instead of in-person visits, I offer something even better:
Live video calls — where you can meet me, see the kittens, their mom, and the environment they grow up in.
I’ll show you the food they eat, where they sleep, how they play — and you can ask anything. Many of my clients even ask me to show American products in my fridge just to confirm I'm in the U.S. — and I do! Because I have nothing to hide.
📌 When pickup day comes, that’s when we meet in person — and it’s always a beautiful moment.
So no, I don’t “push” anyone into deposits. I offer transparency, conversation, and trust. And if someone feels unsure, they’re free to take their time. My kittens always find the right families — at the right time.
